The music adopted a lot of imitations like fighting drum's tune, sound of cannons, horses' grumble and soldiers' shouting during the fighting. |

On a chilly night, the composer (blind man Ah Bing) sat by the crystal-clear pool, deep in meditation. The melody flows on just like the waves, depicting vividly a heart-breaking sadness. |

BAMBOO ENSEMBLE. "Spring on a moonlit river." This is considered a treasure of Chinese classical music. Spring night has come, and moonlight begins to envelop the earth. At river's edge, a thin veil of mist rises softly; nets of flower shadows spread inland. The river moves in silver waves. Bells sound from a distant temple, a small boat comes into view, fishermen are singing. Breaking the surface of the water, oars send waves to lap the shore. As the night deepens, the fishing boat moves off into the distance. The spring night sinks completely into quite. |
